Description:
Join us as we explore the concept of Professional Selfhood (PSH), which reflects how nurses' identities evolve through their interactions with the world. This November 2024 IAHC Journal Club Article - A Critical Hermeneutic Circle to Reimagine Professional Selfhood.pdf explores the experiences of six novice nurses, examining the tensions they encountered between what they aspired to do and what they were actually able to achieve, as these challenges manifested physically and emotionally. The study utilizes body mapping as an aesthetic methodology, combined with reflexivity within a Critical Hermeneutic Circle, to illustrate the personal and collective journey of professional growth. Discover how this artistic and reflective process nurtures a sense of community, creating a brave space for reimagining and supporting our evolving professional identities as nurses.
