Dear Members of IAHC,

Dr’s Holly Wei and John Nelson are writing to invite you to a new event that has been proposed by members of IAHC and developed by the Communication/Membership Committee. The event is a Special Interest Group (SIG) that focuses on the work environment. We hope to have other SIGs within IAHC, but we are starting with a SIG for the work environment.

This is a member only event that will be moderated by Dr. Holly Wei. Both Dr’s Wei and Nelson are experts in the area of the work environment and they invite other experts and interested IAHC members to talk about what is being done in the work environment today to help nurses and the healthcare team in this challenging time. We also invite researchers in this area to come and share what research they are embarking. If you are involved in a successful strategy to improve the work environment to help caring thrive, come and share that too.

The plan for this event is to be annually held, but members of this SIG might work together throughout the year offline as collaborations emerge from within the group. This group may want to present their collaborative work at the annual conference, write papers, or even write grants together.

Objective of SIGs are twofold:

  • 1.       Network IAHC members of similar interests
  • 2.       Evaluate opportunities for possible collaborative research or intervention cell groups from within the specialty group

This will be an hour event that will launch on March 29th at 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

Please sign up using the “Register” button noted at the top of this email. We will send you a reminder as the date approaches.”
